Boost Immunity With Zinc Picolinate

Boost Immunity With Zinc Picolinate

It’s estimated there are 2 billion people worldwide who are deficient in zinc. (study, study)

Which may be one of the reasons there’s a global health crisis on our hands.

I’ve already talked in the past HERE about why zinc is one of the most important micronutrients for men who want to boost testosterone levels. But because of current events and the rapid spread of coronavirus I’m going to focus on how zinc improves and supports immunity…

And why it could be the missing ingredient you need during this time to safeguard your health and the health of your family.

Before you go running out to grab a zinc supplement from the store or something like that, I want to let you know out front that most of the supplements you’ll find aren’t the most potent form of zinc, meaning it won’t give you the meaningful boost your body needs.

But make sure you stick around until the end because I’m going to share with you the easiest way to get the most potent form of zinc into your diet, along with a couple of other ingredients that’ll boost your immune system, testosterone and more.

How Zinc Boosts Immunity

There are hundreds of studies that show a direct connection between zinc and immunity. If your zinc levels are low, your immune system will be less able to protect your body from common and novel viruses like COVID-19 (coronavirus). Doctors from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health say in one study, “zinc deficient people experience increased susceptibility to a variety of pathogens,” which simply means, they’re more likely to get sick.

But if your zinc levels are optimal, your immune system will be stronger to take on whatever’s “going around.”

According to a study published in the European Journal of Immunology, the human body needs zinc to activate lymphocytes (which are also called T-cells).

T-cells help the body respond to viruses in two ways:

  1. By controlling and regulating immune responses
  2. By attacking infected cells

In other words, zinc affects multiple aspects of the immune system, including the barrier to the body, all the way down to targeting and eliminating viral invaders that infiltrate the body. Plus, zinc is crucial for normal development and function of these cells that keep your immune system smart, strong and alert in all seasons and even when there’s a novel virus going around.

Another study published in the journal Immunity & Ageing, found that zinc is especially important for setting up a strong immune defense system in older men. The reason is because as we age, zinc levels decrease. And even if you aren’t “zinc deficient” yet, studies show that even slight zinc deprivation can negatively affect the function of your immune system. With that said, slight zinc deprivation may be one of the reasons why the novel coronavirus seems to affect men and women in their 60s and up more than others — because as zinc levels decrease it leaves your body more vulnerable to viruses.

This zinc decrease makes such an impact that a study from the University of Florida discovered a slight zinc dropoff in the body initiates a “cascading effect” which doesn’t only interfere with one component of the immune system, but many. Short term effects can throw immune cells out of whack, while long term effects can actually reduce immune-cell populations in the body. Even to the point where it “reprograms” the immune system to function with less alertness and strength on a regular basis according to a study from Michigan State University.

Improving zinc in the body won’t only improve the health, strength and alertness of the immune system and how it responds to common and novel viruses. Zinc has also been shown to shorten the amount of time you have a cold.

In a group of 5 placebo-controlled studies published in The Open Respiratory Medicine Journal, a zinc supplement was shown to decrease the length of the common cold by 40% compared to the placebo group. It’s especially effective when taken within 24-hours of feeling a cold coming on.

Key Takeaways

That was a lot of information we just covered. And like I mentioned earlier there are hundreds of studies that back up the few I shared with you in this post. Here are the key takeaways:

✔ More than 2 billion people are NOT getting enough zinc in their diet, and if you haven’t been paying attention, you’re likely one of them…

✔ You need optimal zinc levels to boost immune health and keep your immune system strong and alert to protect you from the common cold, flu and novel viruses like coronavirus…

✔ Not just any zinc supplement will do. You need to get the highest form of zinc there is (which I’ll tell you about in the next section)…

Now What?

There’s no question about it — you need to boost your zinc intake if you want to perform optimally and keep your health in check all year round.

The most potent form of zinc is zinc picolinate. It’s more absorbable in the body than zinc citrate and zinc oxide which are the most common forms you’ll find at the drugstore. But that’s why I want to give you a chance to grab zinc picolinate inside my Immune and Testosterone boosting formula — Man Boost

Man Boost contains 15mg of zinc picolinate, which is a potent and scientifically proven dose to improve immunity and testosterone. Plus, it contains other ingredients that reinforce those benefits like the most potent form of resveratrol, called Resveratrol Vesisorb and Boron.

So if you want the fastest and most effective way to boost your immune system and experience the benefits I mentioned above, plus increase testosterone levels beginning in just a few seconds each morning…
